Practicing the ways of Jesus – silence, solitude, prayer, knowing and trusting the Word of God, serving others – is the blueprint to a life full of the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Sometimes, life is hard. Really hard. And as much as we’d like the Holy Spirit to take us by the hand and whisk us out of the war, it’s much more likely that what we are experiencing is indeed entrusted to the mystery of God’s holy plan in our life. This week’s intention is about reminding ourselves of God’s promises in a time and within a world that is quick to convince us otherwise.
